May 2012

Our cover story this month is on Julie Deb from Assam who earned a fashion marketing degree from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, San Francisco. Even though she was working with Macy’s – one of the top leading chain of stores in America, she chose to return to India and is now the Marketing Head of Neeru Kumar. In an interview with Nathaniel Weller Rynjah, Julie gives us a glimpse of the fashion industry in India and the nitty gritty of what it is like to be part of it.

Speaking of fashion, veteran designer James Ferreira recently unveiled his Fall Winter 2012 /13 line at Shillong. James message through the line is that we should all wake up to the wanton pollution that is all around us, wake up and address it.
