Gwyneth Paltrow Aims To End "Mommy Wars"
Gwyneth caused a firestorm of criticism after claiming actresses in Hollywood have it way tougher than a mother working 9-5, and now Gwyneth Paltrow is clearing up her comments.
The blonde beauty had said that working a dayshift was "not like being on set" of a Hollywood movie and "it's much harder for me."
Of course, those comments irked plenty of working mothers and led to women accusing Gwyn of being out of touch and an elitist.
The mother of Apple,10,and Moses,8,finally spoke out against the backlash and took to her Goop website with a post titled "Ending the Mommy Wars".
"A few weeks ago during an interview,I was asked why I have only worked on one film a year since having children. My answer was this:Film work takes one away from home and requires 12-14 hours a day, making it difficult to be the one to make the kids their lunch, drive them to school, and put them to bed,"she wrote.
"Is it not hard enough to raise children thoughtfully, while contributing something,or bringing home some(or more)of the bacon?"
